This stunning XVIth century Renaissance Chateau (ISMH Listed) has been exquisitely restored by its present owners using specialist artisans from across the region to faithfully retain the beauty and elegance of the period. Typical of the early renaissance period, the Chateau is oriented on an east/west axis to take full advantage of natural light and its twin towers lend grace & unity to the design. Built from luminescent “Tuffeau” stone under an ‘Angers’ slate roof, this remarkable chateau retains a wealth of authentic features including: spiral stone staircases, enormous mullioned stained-glass windows, monumental fireplaces and beautifully crafted floors and ceilings.
